| Based on information provided by Collier County Government, Naples and Marco Island, the following corridors are being evaluated during this year's update of the MPO's Congestion Management System (CMS) Report. Your input, in addition to technical analysis being conducted throughout these corridors, will help determine what projects can be funded to relieve traffic congestion. Eligible projects for funding from the MPO's CMS allocation of Federal transportation funds includes signal re-timing projects, median closure projects, the lengthening of turn lanes and other such operational improvements. Transit and bicycle/pedestrian projects are also eligible activities. The addition of travel lanes are not eligible due to the length of time and funds needed to complete such projects. Eligible project proposals to be funded in FY 2006/07, will be prioritized by the MPO's Congestion Management System/Intelligent Transportation System (CMS/ITS) Committee in the Spring 2006.
